One year ago today my mother was told that she had six months to live. She fought for four. Life is much to short.
Too often in our lives are we subject to putting our energy toward things that do not matter. I know that through out my life I have found that there is no need to waste time, life is much to short, invest it instead. How many times daily do you worry about things that cannot be changed through your personal actions? How many times do you daily think about things that have no concern of yours? I am letting it rip through my fingertips tonight telling you To do only what's important to you, let the other things be of the non importance.
I want to challenge you this week, whether it be daily throughout or just one day, to take a step back out of your view. Take a closer look at your actions and what is driving them. Is it sex? Money? Power? The constant feeling of "wanting to fit in?" Let me explain something to you, if you live your life wanting to continuously please others, you will be miserable. Be the best and most Authentic YOU that YOU can be. That isn't just once a month, it isn't just once a week, or a year, It is DAILY! From you reflecting on your drive, I want you to really say to yourself "Why am I doing the things that I do?" From here you can begin to grasp your inner drive. It is only through stepping out of where so many of us hide in the "comfort zone" and push ourselves to self reflect that we can reach our full potential.
My Mother, although gone, but never forgotten , left me and my family with this and I think that if you read it daily, you would be humbled and steadfastly hungry to reach your full potential:
Live a life without limitations; Embrace not only the joys but also the sorrows of life and to strive to be the very best person you can be of every moment of every day. To let your light shine; to stand against injustice; to never stop learning, to be courageous and to live fearlessly. Bring forth the spark of the divine that is in each and everyone of us and to love everyone.
Have a blessed and courageous week.
Trust.
Final thought:
"Freedom and love go together. Love is not a reaction. If I love you because you love me, that is a mere trade, a thing to be bought in the market; it is not love. To love is not to ask anything in return, not even to feel that you are giving something-and it is only such love that can know freedom."
Blessed be.

Optimism is the socket in which the most powerful people plug into..
Stayin' optimistic is something that has always helped me through the toughest of times. If I were to be negative and in constant doubt, the turnout of events that have occurred in my life would have been entirely different.
Being optimistic is a mindset, but also a choice. There is a famous saying that "misery loves comfort." Just look around you and notice that the people who are miserable are the people that surround themselves with others of the same niche. You as a human being, no matter what the challenge placed upon you is, can decide your outlook on all situations.
It is solely between your ears.
It is entirely up to you.
Here is an exercise for you:
Next time you feel as though something negative or pessimistic has happened to you, notice your surroundings. If you find yourself in a realm of people who seems to doubt often and live pessimistic lives then rise above it, and remove yourself from that area. Go to a place where you can be surrounded by optimism.
Whether that be in a area of complete bliss such as nature or at a playground.
Within these feelings that you feel are ego credits lets say. These credits are only good into a machine that your mind makes to reason with itself on rational thoughts. My challenge to you is to not build a machine. Help yourself learn to silence the ego machine and let go of the expectations placed on the situation. Only then can you be free, only then can you plug in.
Self-actualization and regulation are both not easy things to do. It causes discomfort placed on your self intrinsically. You must be able to be OK with changing, not for someone else, but because you decided to change.
Silence your ego, live free of these credits, rid yourself of expectations.
Plug in to optimism; your light burns much brighter and longer with this choice.
